Finally, after isolating myself in a shell I decided to come out and take a peek at the current events happening in our society. I saw things that made me pause for a second and think. My eyebrows are slowly meeting each other at the center as I continue watching the news. I was sitting on a comfortable yellow couch while my subconscious was dancing and singing "Heal The World" beside me. A thunder striking hit me and left a mark saying, "Where were you?". I feel terribly guilty, because I wasted my time for the last few days lying on my bed while my laptop heats my tummy as I lazily surf at the massive waves in a place so called internet.
Scams, corruptions, murder, chemical attacks, tons of immoral rape crimes, unfortunate diseases and other complicated showbiz issues were all over my big LCD screen reminding me of what'd I miss. One could care less of the ridiculous good news there is to be offered on the channel, for Philippines is currently a location of an extreme dominant malaise. It's a big slap on the cheek knowing that I did nothing to contribute to this society for the last 16 years of my natural existence. As much as I hate to admit this, but I feel ashamed that these people of the same nationality as me could do such disgusting things. Minding that they are twice or thrice my age. Should it not be a given that they are entitled to be knowledgeable of not just their extravagant political duties but also an ample of moral obligations. I can't help but feel angry and vexation in my nerves for the fact that there is nothing I could do to make them realize of God knows how big is the hole they had planted on our soil. They made a massive manhole where a lot of people are falling down to their miseries.
I long to be illuminated of the origin and motives which the bad citizens hold, that they are still able to swallow their conscience, noted of their abhorrent ways to live. Does a cornucopia of possession of printed papers with the face of the late leaders engraved on the center worth it?
I am aware that an abundance of wise and compassionate leaders are yet to be born, but this era is languid in temptations and diabolical jurisdictions. Thus, the present generation is attracted to the trend of disobedience. I worry not only for the Philippines but for the world too, in general. In the movie Lucy, it was mentioned that time is what affects an object's corporeality. Is it really the key for the disappearance of the predicaments we are experiencing? Is it seriously right and just to merely wait? I can say the conclusion is capricious.
